Meet the Old Market Team
Kain is our Principal Dentist at The Dentists Old Market. He graduated from University of Adelaide, Australia, in 1997. Having completed his BSc. Dent in Forensic Dentistry in 2004, he was part of a multi-national Forensic team sent to Thailand to assist in the identification of Tsunami victims. Since 2005, Kain has been working in Bristol and has completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Surgical and Prosthodontic Implantology from the highly regarded Eastman Institute in London.
Kain has further completed his MSc. Dental Implantology in Rome. He has vast experience in providing high quality, advanced implant solutions for patients and teaches and mentors other dentists in advanced dental implant treatments.
Since acquiring the practice, Kain has focused on the latest and most advanced technologies to improve the patient’s experience. He is dedicated to modern digital dentistry, and the practice has invested in this approach to give the patients the best, leading edge dental treatment available.
Outside of work, Kain loves spending time with his family and his two dogs. Kain is a passionate cyclist who will cycle at every available opportunity.

Eugene graduated from Kaunas Medical University, Lithuania, 2007. From an early stage, Eugene got involved in the field of Implant Dentistry at one of the most well respected dental implant practices in Lithuania. He gained invaluable experience treating patients needing complex dental treatment and implants. He came to the UK in 2011, working in Somerset, before working as a private dentist in Bristol from 2015. He has a particular interest in delivering high quality root canal treatment and enjoys the restorative side of dentistry. His main priority in his professional career, is striving for clinical excellence and providing his patients with the highest quality dental care.

My name is Kar and I graduated from Bristol University in 2013 with a degree in dentistry.
I pride myself in building long-lasting relationships with all my patients. I understand how difficult it may be to walk through that surgery door having been in that situation myself. For individuals with specific or dental phobias, I can provide both inhalation and intravenous sedation.
I completed my PG Cert (Distinction) in Dental Sedation and Pain Management at UCL Eastman. I am also a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD).

Maria completed her dental degree at the highly acclaimed Universidad de Valencia, Spain, in 2008. Shortly after graduating Maria began working in the UK, laying down her roots in the southwest with her young family. Maria has 11 years’ experience working in both NHS and private dental practices throughout the Bristol, Somerset, and Dorset region.
Maria holds a keen interest into the art of dentistry. She completed a Masters in Oral Surgery and Implantology at the University of Malaga in 2012 and has completed a postgraduate certificate in Aesthetics and Restorative Dentistry.
Cosmetic dentistry is the area she enjoys the most alongside with Invisalign orthodontic treatment.
Outside of work, Maria spends most of her time with her husband and young son. Her hobbies include running, swimming, and tennis but mainly fashion. Coming from Spain, Maria has a trained eye for style and understands the importance a smile can give to a look.

Sandra originally comes from Portugal and this is where she obtained her dental degree in 2009. Sandra has worked within private practice both in Portugal and in the UK and has gained a broad spectrum of knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. Whilst completing her dental training Sandra attended the Erasmus programme at the University of Bologna, Italy, contributing to her wealth of knowledge gained across the globe.
Being keen to continuously expand her skill set, Sandra completed a Masters in Oral Surgery and Implantology at the University of Malaga in 2012. Having a good eye and a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry she is currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry and is also an Invisalign tooth straightening provider.
Having an empathic and caring nature, Sandra is very good with treating nervous patients and children, she is always keen to help and is understanding of all patients’ individual needs.
Sandra moved to Bristol in 2010 and was charmed by the warmth and buzz of the city. In her free time Sandra enjoys spending time with her young family as well as travelling, baking and sports.

Jake, originally from the Midlands, is a Bristol University graduate. Jake has worked within Private Practice for a number of years and has advanced in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. Jake enjoys composite bonding, whitening and smile makeovers.
Always striving to give the very best patient care and results, Jake has undertaken further training in Endodontics, minor oral surgery and tooth wear. Jake finds supporting anxious patients very rewarding and has a very gentle and professional manner. A forward-thinking dentist, Jake embraces new and modern digital technologies to ensure the very best patient care is delivered.
In his spare time, Jake enjoys paddle boarding, travelling and exploring the delights of Bristol’s restaurants.

Carriann recently graduated from Newcastle University with a dual qualification in both dental hygiene & therapy, therefore enabling Carriann to carry out hygiene cleans and a wider scope of practice including routine fillings.
Carriann has a particular interest in periodontal treatments and enjoys helping her patients understand their periodontal health by implementing good oral hygiene techniques and addressing possible risk factors.
As well as being dual qualified in dental hygiene and therapy, Carriann previously worked within dentistry for several years as a dental nurse, this is where her passion for dentistry started and flourished. Being multi trained, Carriann has a good understanding of all aspects of dentistry making her a valuable member of the team, who always does her best to help people achieve their desired smile.
Outside of work Carriann likes to socialise with her friends and family.

Freya graduated from Cardiff University in 2017 as a Dental Therapist and has since gathered extensive knowledge and skills. She is dedicated to providing a wide range of treatments to help her patients maintain their best smiles.

With eight years of experience in dental nursing, Millie has recently advanced her career by qualifying as a Dental Hygiene Therapist from the University of Birmingham in 2024. Her professional focus lies in preventative dentistry, with a special interest in treating children, including those with special needs. Additionally, Millie has undergone specialized training in dental implant hygiene maintenance, enabling her to provide comprehensive care and advice to patients with dental implants.
Outside of her professional commitments, Millie enjoys spending quality time with her family, taking long walks with her dogs, maintaining her fitness at the gym, and exploring her passion for cooking exotic dishes. We are confident that Millie’s expertise and dedication will be a valuable asset to our practice.
