Why You Should Choose a Dentist That Opens on a Saturday

Most dental practices both in Bristol and across the UK typically open during traditional business hours (9 am – 5 pm) and Monday to Friday. For many patients, these hours are easy to fit into their schedule, however, it can be very difficult for those working a 9 to 5 job to fit their dental appointments around their work.

At the Dentists Old Market in Bristol, we have tailored our practising hours to better fit the schedules of our patients and provide more flexibility when booking an appointment. But what are the benefits of flexible hours and why is it important to choose a dentist that opens on a Saturday?

Dental Emergencies

Dental pain requiring treatment can happen at any time, including the weekends! It can be very stressful waiting two or three days for your dental practise to reopen in order to be seen on a Monday. Often alongside this, Mondays are the busiest days for phone call enquiries which can make it more difficult to get an appointment.

At the Dentists Old Market, we offer emergency dental appointments for unregistered patients 6 days a week. This provides the reassurance of being seen as soon as possible to help resolve any problems or pain that occur suddenly.

Easily Fit Appointments Around Work

As mentioned previously, the Dentists Old Market has made a conscious effort to make our hours as flexible as possible to ensure ease when fitting appointments around working hours.

During weekdays, our opening hours are;

Monday: 8.30 am – 7.30 pm

Tuesday: 8.30 am – 7.30 pm

Wednesday: 8.00 am – 6.30 pm

Thursday: 8.30 am – 5.30 pm

Friday: 8.30 am – 5.30 pm

By being open from early morning to later in the evening, it allows time for those who need to commute further to and from work. This allows appointments to be carried out either before or after work.

Saturday Appointments

To add further flexibility to our opening hours, we offer dental appointments from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm on a Saturday. This helps to make attending appointments easier for those who have a busy schedule, particularly helpful to those with longer working hours or simply because it is more convenient.

We see Saturday appointments also helpful to those receiving treatments such as tooth extractions and implant surgery as they can leave the mouth feeling a little bit sore. This gives you a good amount of time to recover and prevents the requirement of going to work after a procedure which is not always practical or recommended.
