How Long Do Veneers Last

Veneers can last for between 10 and 15 years. This means they do not need to be replaced often and are a worthwhile investment for many patients who want to improve the appearance of their smile.

Veneers are a long-lasting, durable and effective way of improving the appearance of your teeth if they are cared for correctly – this includes practicing good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups.

How Much Are Veneers?

There is no set answer to the question ‘how much are veneers’ as the cost varies from person to person, depending on the exact treatment plan you agree. However, as a rough guide, composite veneers can cost between £150 and £400 per tooth. Porcelain veneers are more expensive, with prices starting at around £500 per tooth. For an exact cost, speak to one of our dental team.

How Are Veneers Fitted?

Veneers are custom made to ensure a perfect shape, colour and fit. First, the tooth is cleaned and polished in preparation for the veneer. They are then fitted by placing the veneer on top of the tooth, before bonding them together with a strong adhesive. The original tooth is completely hidden and only the veneer can be seen.

Does Getting Veneers Hurt?

Some people are hesitant to get veneers as they assume that doing so hurts, but this is not the case. Getting veneers is a minimally invasive procedure and most people do not experience any pain or discomfort during treatment. Occasionally, some patients may feel some minor soreness of the gum and jaw but this is not the case for most people.
